According to the National Trust Act 1999, Every Person with Intellectual Disabilities should have appointment of legal Guardians to support them to lead their life securely. For attaining this legal obligation, every District administration constituted a Local Level Committee (LLC) for appointing a legal guardian for each person with intellectual disabilities of which they can avail benefits such as financial assistance, rights on legal heir of their assets, government schemes and caring throughout their life.

Global Trust is a LLC Member of Nagapattinam and Ariyalur Districts and so far given services for appointed legal guardians to 100+ persons with intellectual disabilities.
