Promoting Micro Enterprises for Specially Abled (PMESAP)

The Persons with disabilities had struggled to lead their life in Covid Lock down period due to loss of livelihoods and daily earnings.  The trust supported PwD families by providing food materials and Dry rations to manage the lockdown situation. From These experiences the Trust found that the PwD families need to be supported to revive their livelihoods for a return to normalcy. Therefore, Global Trust designed and initiated PMESAP, a seed support project to restart their petty trades and earn meagre income for their families daily bread.

So far we have supported 25 PwD Families to start petty self-employments and trades like, idly batter making, Tamarind and Garlic trade, Tailoring, Plastic products sale, etc. and earn minimum Rs. 300/day out of these petty trades to run their family with self-dignity. The aim of this initiative is to cover a minimum of 500 PWD Families across Cuddalore District to be supported through individual and civil societies donations within 2025 for promoting them as micro entrepreneurs.
