Group Homes for Adults

A separate and Comprehensive group home facility for Adult Boys and Girls aged 14 years and above is provided with safe, structured residential environments where residents receive round-the-clock care, rehabilitation, and personal development support. The homes focus on promoting independence, confidence, and dignity, with tailored interventions addressing the unique abilities and needs of each individual. Currently, 40 Girls and 35 Boys are receiving free-of-cost rehabilitation services.

Core Services and Support

• Residential Care and Rehabilitation: Dedicated living spaces for adults with intellectual disabilities, including a specialised home for girls aged 14 and above, offering support to live with minimal assistance.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Comprehensive medical care, multimodal therapies, and personalised treatment plans to enhance physical and cognitive abilities.
• Special and Life Skills Education: Focused learning modules including domestic and social skill development for daily living and self-reliance.
• Vocational Training and Employment: Hands-on training in phenol production, jewellery making, paper crafts, and handicrafts. Products are showcased and sold through exhibitions organised by government and private bodies, promoting financial independence.
• Recreational and Social Activities: Community integration programs and cultural participation to support emotional well-being and inclusiveness.

Monitoring and Advancement

The progress of each resident is measured through biannual assessments using defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that each stage of intervention is data-driven and goal-oriented. Upon completing training programs, residents are encouraged to transition into self-employment or supported employment settings, paving the way for dignified, productive lives.
